Our brand new website goes online.
We have created 26 unique rooms for you by redesigning two entire hotel floors: the artist Bernd Kissel has brought extra-special SaarLegenden comics onto the walls of every room. This means your goodnight story is placed directly above your bed.
We also have a new improvement in our kitchen for you: our team has acquired Reiner Starck, who is a truly top chef. His menus feature healthy, exquisite cuisine and he will continue to dazzle you with new creations.
Hotel Am Triller becomes one of the first companies in Saarland to receive the German Seal of Quality – level 1 from the Minister for Economic Affairs, Joachim Rippel.
We predominantly use organic products in our kitchen and this has been certified by AbCert, the organic inspection body – this is for your well-being and for our environment.
The Planet Ocean themed floor is inaugurated. You can feel as comfortable as a fish in water in these six rooms and the junior suite, all of which were co-designed by the artist Gabi Lackenmacher.
On the new themed floor Impressions, conceived by Waltraud Schunath-Bumb, you will find not only wonderful floral designs in the rooms with paintings by Gabi Lackenmacher, but also the newest sleeping technology and most modern equipment – a wonderful combination of comfort and aesthetics.
The first Murder Mystery Dinner takes place at our hotel. Enjoy the excitement of an extraordinary criminal case and excellent food. A truly killer comedy!
Light & Nature – the design of the new themed floor with 11 rooms brings the relaxing atmosphere of nature directly into your hotel room. The extensive nature paintings by Gabi Lackenmacher in combination with the atmospheric LED lighting technology promises calm and relaxation.
Bienvenue au musée de Paris – a floor that is a synthesis of the arts. All eight double rooms, the three junior suites and the extra large Moulin Rouge suite on this newly designed themed floor were illustrated by Gabi Lackenmacher and modelled on the work of great master painters such as Chagall and Renoir.
La Mer is a themed suite completely dedicated to the calming effect of water: the seascape by artist Viktor Krell adorns an entire wall, the large sail is used as a room divider and the wonderfully designed bathroom brings maritime flair to Saarbrücken.
The new Four Seasons themed floor is opened. Based on an idea of Waltraud Schunath-Bumb, each of the four junior suites is dedicated to a different season. The variety of the rooms’ designs is also reflected in the fancy Italian furniture from Giorgo Saporiti and the special custom-made carpeted floors. The landscape painting by Daniel Morsch on the corridor walls brings spring, summer, autumn and winter near at all times of the year.
The first themed floor Seventh Heaven: In the seven junior suites and one large suite you will experience the feeling of sleeping directly under the stars. The ceiling lighting in each suite has recreated a constellation and you also have the opportunity to observe the night sky from bed through the slanted windows.
Our rustic pub becomes Palü: a modern bistro with bar, named after the famous Saarbrücken police inspector from the Tatort TV show, acted by Jochen Senf.
Renovation of many suites and rooms: our rooms present themselves in a modern and fresh outfit. Our event room Saar-Lor-Lux-Elsass is also completely renovated.
Comprehensive redesign: Not only do we present ourselves with a new logo, things are also going on inside. The hotel entrance, foyer, reception and the restaurants are altered and renovated from the ground up. Both of the new conference and seminar rooms Studio and Atelier come into being as a result of this.
80 hotel rooms and their accompanying bathrooms are completely renovated. Furthermore, the indoor swimming pool and sauna are redesigned and the gym and solarium also appear.
With the establishment of the Hotel Am Triller Hotelbetriebs GmbH we take a further step in the constant development of our family business.
The attic is developed: you have a wonderful view over Saarbrücken from the 8 newly created suites/junior suites.
70 further modern hotel rooms are created in large new building, all of which are fully equipped with bathtub/shower/WC, minibar, telephone and television. We look forward to welcoming even more guests to our hotel.
We extend our range of facilities with an indoor pool, a sauna and a massage room. Now our guests can relax even more at our hotel.

The garment factory is reconstructed due to the economic integration of the Territory of the Saar Basin with the Federal Republic.
The Hotel Am Triller is opened to coincide with the state horticultural show and can welcome its guests in 60 rooms. A special attraction is the open-air swimming pool in the hotel garden – a novelty in Saarbrücken!
